Bowel Screening Contacts

Colorectal or Bowel Cancer is the second most common cancer (after lung cancer) in both men and women. Around 1 in 20 women and 1 in 16 men will develop bowel cancer in their life time. Around 80% of cases are in people over 60.

Each year there are approximately 400 deaths and up to 1000 new diagnoses. However, if detected early enough treatment can be 90% successful.
